How to merge two audio tracks using Audacity:

If you have split two audio tracks and want to merge them into one then follow the below steps:

Step 1:

Locate the position where the track is split.

Click on the Time-shift tool in the ribbon on top or click the F5 button on your keyboard.

Now, left-click on your mouse/touchpad or Double click on the second track and Drag it towards the first track till it touches it. Make sure it touches the first track properly otherwise there will be a log silence between the two tracks after you merge them.

After both the tracks properly touch each other >>click on the select menu and then click All to select the track.

Step 5:

Next, click on the Edit menu on the top and Drag your mouse pointer on the clip boundaries option and click on Join to join both the tracks into one track.

Lastly, Export the merged track by clicking on >>file menu the >>Export and then >>Export as audio.

How to merge two or more audio files using Audacity:

To merge two audio files using Audacity follow the below steps:

Step 1:

Open Audacity on your computer

Step 2:

Click on the File menu and drag your mouse pointer on the Import option and click on Audio. Select the audio files you want to merge and click on open. (To select multiple files at once press and hold the ctrl key on your keyboard and tap on the audio files)

Step 3:

Now click on the Select menu on the top and click on All to select all the audio files.

Step 4:

After that click on the Tracks menu and go to Align tracks. In that click on Align end to end. This will align all the tracks one after the other in line.

Now the last thing that we will have to do is to merge them into one track. To do that go to the Tracks menu again and go to Mix and in Mix click on Mix and render to merge the audio tracks into one.

After successfully merging the audio files into one track the last step we have to do is to save the new track. To do it click on the file menu and go to Export and click on Export as MP3. (select the file format according to your requirement).
